Meet Our Coaches:

Head Coach Ryan - With over 15 years of coaching experience, including roles in school-based, club, and international environments, Head Coach Ryan has developed a deep commitment to player development and coaching excellence. A former elite junior player, he completed five years of full-time training at Wilton Academy and Tennis NSW, and continues to build on that foundation in his coaching career.

He currently holds the ATPCA Master Level 3 Coaching Certificate, a Certificate IV in Fitness, and a valid Working With Children Check (Blue Card). His coaching experience includes work at Barker College, Voyager Tennis, and Rawson Park Tennis Centre, as well as a full-time high-performance coaching role in mainland China, where he trained ITF-level juniors, including a player now ranked around 1200 on the WTA Tour.

As the Head Coach of Future Ace Tennis in Brisbane, Head Coach Ryan leads a team of coaches and oversees the delivery of programs for players of all levels—from beginners to performance athletes.

Throughout his career, Head Coach Ryan has remained focused on delivering high-quality, athlete-centered coaching, and is committed to ongoing development as both a coach and mentor. His experience, education, and leadership responsibilities align strongly with the competencies outlined in the Club Professional qualification framework.

Coach May - With a strong background as one of the top players on the Hunan State Tennis Team, Coach May brings both elite-level experience and a passion for grassroots coaching to the court. Her competitive foundation gives her a deep understanding of the game, which she translates into clear and approachable teaching for students of all ages.

Coach May specialises in beginner coaching, with a focus on building strong fundamentals in a friendly, encouraging, and structured environment. She has a natural ability to connect with new players—whether children, teens, or adults—making tennis accessible, enjoyable, and confidence-building from the very first lesson.

Her student, representing Epping West Primary School, won the championship at an international competition.

Her approach balances technical development, movement coordination, and game understanding, ensuring every player gains a strong foundation to grow their skills long-term.

Coach May is widely appreciated for her warm teaching style, patience, and ability to tailor lessons to each student’s needs. Whether someone is picking up a racquet for the first time or returning to tennis later in life, Coach May makes learning the game both effective and fun.

Coach Yiwen - Coach Yiwen began his systematic tennis training at the age of 9 under the guidance of renowned coach Luo Yong, who also trained alongside professional player Abu. With a strong technical foundation and extensive tournament experience, Yiwen went on to win the 2025 University of Queensland Mixed Doubles A Group Championship.

Known for his rigorous and detail-oriented coaching style, Coach Yiwen places great emphasis on technical fundamentals and high teaching standards. He also incorporates physical conditioning and practical match-play strategies into his sessions.

Highly regarded by adult players, Coach Yiwen has consistently delivered outstanding results, helping students build confidence, improve performance, and enjoy the game. 

Coach TonyTony is a national Class 2 athlete from China with over 11 years of tennis experience. He achieved 5th place in singles and 3rd place in doubles at the Henan Provincial Championships, showcasing both his competitive skill and versatility on court.

Coach Tony is highly skilled at analyzing and refining technique, offering detailed explanations and in-depth insights into tennis fundamentals. Through clear demonstrations and hands-on guidance, he helps students rapidly improve their performance.

With a warm and approachable personality, Tony balances precision with encouragement. His focus on practical results and tailored feedback has earned him the trust and admiration of his students.
